CMS Authenticated Gender Warning

This warning page appears when the Gender entered on the New Case Creation page does not match the beneficiary information on record.

If the data you entered matches three out of four criteria (i.e., Medicare ID (Health Insurance Claim Number ([HICN]) or Medicare Beneficiary Identifier [MBI]) or SSN, (First Name [first initial], Last Name [first six letters], and Gender), but the Gender does not match, the WCMSAP will display this warning message confirming that the authenticated Gender from the beneficiary database will be used to create the case.

Click Continue to confirm that the authenticated gender will be used to create the case and proceed to the Beneficiary/Claimant Information page.

Click Cancel to return to the Home page. All information you entered will be lost.

Note: You may cancel the case creation process at any time before you submit the case. If you save the entered information as a Work-in-Progress, you may return to the case in the future and continue entering information. If you do not save the case as a Work-in-Progress, cancelling the case creation process will cause all information entered to be lost.
