Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) is a security mechanism that adds an MFA code during the login process. This code makes your login more secure by providing an extra layer of security when logging in with your user ID and password. During the MSPRP MFA registration process, you will be able to register an MFA factor to your account. You can choose from the following two MFA factor options to complete the registration process:
- Google Authenticator - an application that you will download to your mobile device. This app generates passcodes directly to your mobile device. When you login using this factor type, you will be asked to provide this passcode.
- Okta Verify - an application that you will download to your mobile device. The Okta Verify option produces push notifications which enable you to verify your identity with a single tap on your mobile device, without the need to type a code.
After registering an MFA factor, you will be able to register an additional factor or manage your currently registered factor, i.e. view, edit, or remove an MFA factor via the Factor Maintenance Link on the Account List page.
