Welcome! [AMs & ADs]

The Welcome! page is the MSPRP home page for Account Managers (AMs) and Account Designees (ADs). It functions as the main processing page to initiate any MSPRP functions available to you. This page shows the selected account ID. Click either the Request Case Access, Case Listing, Report a Case, Open Debt Report (AMs only), or Go Paperless Letter Notifications (paperless accounts only) links to proceed.

Note: If the account is associated with at least one address that has opted in to Go Paperless, a green leaf icon appears next to the name of the account. You can view letter notification emails on the MSPRP for these addresses by selecting the Go Paperless Letter Notifications link. To get information on your account's paperless addresses, please contact your Section 111 file submitter or reporting agent.

Quick Help

All pages in the MSPRP contain a Quick Help section with the Help About This Page link. The link will open a help document with information to assist you in understanding the page you have accessed.

Account Settings

The following links are available. Note: These links are not available to beneficiaries.

•    Update Personal Information – Use this link to update your contact information, such as email address, phone number, and mailing address.

•    Update Account Information (AMs only) – Use this link to update the account's mailing address and phone numbers. For Corporate account types, you can also update your Account Representative (AR) contact information on this page.

•    Designee Maintenance (AMs only) – Use this link to add and delete ADs, to update personal information for existing designees, and to regenerate the invitation e-mail for intended designees.

•    View Account Activity – Use this link to view the activity of this MSPRP account, such as account registration and setup, and Designee invitations.

•    Change Password – Use this link to change your password, whether it has expired, has been compromised, or you have been issued a temporary password.

Remember, when you change your password in the MSPRP, your password will be changed in all Coordination of Benefits Secure Website (COBSW) applications that you are authorized to use (i.e., Section 111 COBSW, Workers' Compensation Medicare Set-Aside Portal (WCMSAP), and the Commercial Repayment Center Portal (CRCP)).

If you have forgotten your password and therefore cannot access this link, use the Forgot Password link on the Welcome to the MSPRP page (login page) to have a temporary password issued.

After you have received your temporary password, return to the MSPRP site and log in using your login ID and temporary password. You will be prompted to change your temporary password when you use it to log into the MSPRP.

•    Update Paperless Email Distribution – Use this link to add one additional email address to the distribution list for Go Paperless letter notification emails and to update the option to blind carbon copy (BCC) ADs on these emails. By default, all ADs are copied on letter notification emails and these emails are sent to the AM.

Note: This link only appears if you are an AM viewing an account that is associated with at least one address that has opted in to Go Paperless.

Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)

This section displays your MFA Status and a "Next Step" action link, which is used to navigate the ID Proofing process. If you choose, and successfully complete, the ID Proofing process and establish an MFA device, you will have the option to view unmasked case information on the MSPRP. The MFA status displayed in this section depends on where you are in the ID Proofing process.

For process details, click the MSPRP User Guide link under the Reference Materials menu, or see the Quick Help pages on each screen as you proceed.

Case Access

To access or manage a case, click the Request Case Access link to add a case to your account. Once added, you will be able to view and manage the case by clicking the Case Listing link.

Note: The Request Case Access, Report a Case, and Case Listing links are not accessible until after your Profile Report has been returned and your account has been activated. None of these links are accessible during nightly system processing cycles.

•    Request Case Access – Links to the New Case Request page where you can search for and add a case to your account ID that is not currently included on your Case Listing page.

The following information is required to search for and request access to a case: Case ID (unique identifier assigned to the Recovery Case by CMS) or Date of Incident (DOI); Medicare ID (Health Insurance Claim Number [HICN] or Medicare Beneficiary Identifier [MBI]) or Social Security Number (SSN); Beneficiary Last Name and Beneficiary Date of Birth.

•    Case Listing – Displays the Case Listing page where you will be able to view and manage recovery cases that were successfully added to your account ID.

Note: This listing will include cases that both AMs and ADs have successfully added to the account ID using the Request Case Access page.

Other Actions

•    Report a Case – Displays the Case Creation (for beneficiaries) or Report a Case (for others) page, where you can report or create a new MSP case.

For non-beneficiaries, displays the Report a Case page, where you can identify who you are reporting the case on behalf of (i.e., beneficiary representative or insurer or insurer representative) and answer questions to determine if the case is eligible for submission (if you are reporting on behalf of an insurer). You should only report a case if ongoing responsibility for medicals (ORM) has not been accepted for the case and there is a pending settlement, but settlement has not yet been reached.

The following information is required to report a case: beneficiary's Medicare ID (Health Insurance Claim Number [HICN] or Medicare Beneficiary Identifier [MBI]) or Social Security Number (SSN); beneficiary's last name, beneficiary's date of birth, date of accident/incident, and insurance type (for insurers). Additionally, at least one diagnosis code is required for case submission.

•    Open Debt Report – Displays the Open Debt Report page where AMs can view the status of open debts for Non-Group Health Plan (NGHP) insurer-debtors on demand.
Cases will appear on a Recovery agent AM's report when the recovery agent TIN submitted for a case matches their TIN.

•    Go Paperless Letter Notifications – Displays the Go Paperless Letter Notifications page where AMs and ADs can view or print letter notification emails and letters sent to the account within the last 30 business days for Go Paperless addresses.

Note: This link only appears if you are an AM or AD viewing an account that is associated with at least one address that has opted in to Go Paperless or the account has at least one letter notification email that was sent within the last 30 business days.
