Report a Case

This page allows you to begin the case reporting process if you are reporting a case on behalf of a beneficiary or an insurer.

Reporting for a Beneficiary

If you are reporting the case on behalf of a beneficiary, select the Beneficiary Representative radio button and click Continue. You will be directed to the Case Creation page where you may continue the reporting process.

Reporting for an Insurer

If you are reporting the case on behalf of an insurer, select the Insurer or Insurer Representative radio button, and answer the questions that appear regarding whether the case is eligible for the submission process. You must respond to these questions before you may continue the reporting process.

A case may only be eligible for submission for an insurer if:

  • The insurer has not accepted ongoing responsibility for medicals (ORM) for the case;
  • A settlement has not been reached for the accident or incident you are reporting; and
  • There is a pending settlement for the accident or incident you are reporting.

Note:If your case is related to exposure to an environmental hazard or ingestion of a particular substance, or an issue with an implanted medical device, the case should not be reported on the MSPRP. Please mail or fax information regarding this case to:

Click Continue to proceed to the Case Creation page if the case is eligible for submission.

Note: The Continue button, and therefore the page functionality, is unavailable during nightly system processing cycles.

Click Cancel to cancel the reporting process and return to the Account List page (if you are a non-beneficiary user).
