Account Setup Page

Once the Authorized Representative (AR) has received the Personal Identification Number (PIN) email, the Account Setup page is the next step in creating a CRCP account. The Account Setup process must be completed by the individual who will be the Account Manager (AM) for the account.

Restrictions

If you are already associated as an AR for a CRCP account, you cannot register as an AM or Account Designee (AD) for any CRCP account. As an AM, you can be an AM for multiple CRCP accounts. You can be an AM for one CRCP account and an AD for another account.

You can also be an AR or other user (AM or AD) of other Coordination of Benefits (COB) secure web applications, such as the Section 111 Coordination of Benefits Secure website (COBSW) Portal, the Workers' Compensation Medicare Set-Aside Portal (WCMSAP), or the Medicare Secondary Payer Recovery Portal (MSPRP).

Note: In addition to being able to assign multiple roles across different accounts, you can also reassign roles for existing accounts. For example, an AM can change the role of an AD on an account to an AM by contacting an Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) Representative by phone at (646) 458-6740 or by email at: COBVA@bcrcgdit.com for assistance.

For further information, click the How to Get Started help page under the How To… menu to learn more about the CRCP roles and restrictions.

Account Setup Process

Before starting the Account Setup process, you will need a PIN, an Account Identification Number (account ID), and company information (account type, Tax Identification Number (TIN), and name). The PIN was sent to your AR by email when they completed the initial PIN Request process and the CMS registration validation process was completed. The account ID was provided to your AR on the final page of the PIN Request process on the PIN Request Completed Successfully Thank You page. It was also sent in a separate email to the email address provided for the AR.

Your AR is responsible for providing you with this information.

All fields are required.

To Begin the Account Setup Process:

  1. In the Account ID, enter the account ID.

The account ID (provided to the AR on the final page in the Personal Identification Number (PIN) Request process on the PIN Request Completed Successfully Thank You page) must be numeric and cannot contain any spaces, letters, or special characters.

  2. In the PIN field, enter the PIN, which was provided in the email that your AR received.

The PIN must be a four-digit number.

  3. Enter (and re-enter) the Account Manager email Address.

Your email is required to verify whether or not you already have a login ID on another COB secure web application and that you are not the AR for the current account. If you are already a user on a COB secure web application, you will not be prompted to create a new login ID and password for the CRCP. You will use your current credentials to log into the CRCP.

  4. Click Continue to continue to the next step, or click Cancel to display the Cancel Confirmation page.

From the Cancel Confirmation page, click cancel to redisplay the Account Setup page with all information intact, or click continue to navigate to the Welcome to the CRCP page with no information saved.

The CRCP will lock the account after three unsuccessful attempts to enter a matching account ID/PIN combination with valid data entries. If you have problems with your account ID and/or PIN, please contact an EDI Representative at 646-458-6740.

Note: If you change your password in any of the COB secure web applications, including the CRCP, it is changed for all of the applications.
